Testosterone Therapy May Protect the Heart During Chemotherapy

According to a small, randomized clinical trial, testosterone therapy taken during cancer treatment may be cardioprotective—meaning that it may protect the heart from damages caused by chemotherapy drugs.  The patients in the trail were being treated for either head and neck or cervical cancer with chemotherapy or chemoradiaiton. The testosterone therapy did not appear to cause any additional side effects for patients. Read more here.
