Large Study Shows 3D Mammography Better Detects Invasive Cancers

In a study of over 450,000 women, researchers found that 3D mammography (digital breast tomosynthesis) detected more invasive cancers than traditional mammograms.  3D mammography also reduced the need for additional imaging, saving women both time and money. These findings could potentially change the standard of care for breast cancer screening. Read more here.
