FDA Approves New MRI Contrast To Evaluate Breast Cancer

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved gadobutrol injection to be used intravenously with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to stage breast cancer. Two phase three studies showed that gadobutol greatly improved the identification and extent of breast cancer over MRIs without contrast. Read more here.
